4 different ways to color stamped images

Stampin' Up Your Sumblime

One of my favorite stamp sets from the new Annual Catalog is the “Your Sublime“. The moment I saw this set I knew I had to have it and I would spend some time coloring these images.
If you have been hanging around with me long you know I’m not CRAZY about coloring. I feel l like it can be very time consuming.
However, coloring also is very inspiring to me and once I decide to dive into it I always end up feeling very creative.

I found this image on Pinterest: You can find these cards over at the Suitably Stamped!

Your Sublime

I thought CASING these cards would be the perfect way to put me in the mood to create with all the new goodies I got last week.

I thought it would be fun to share with you 4 different ways to color these images. Some are simple and quick and others take a little bit of time.
However the end results are worth doing all 4 techniques.

{4 Different Ways To Color Stamped Images}

Below you will find each of the cards next to each of the techniques I used to color the images. Please feel free to pin these images to your own Pinterest board so you can refer to them later when you are ready to try some of these techniques out yourself.

1. Real Crabby Glitter! I started with this little guy! And I knew right away that he had to have glitter on him. I really enjoy using the Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush to add some shimmer and shine to images because it is not MESSY!!!

2. Wiggle it & Glitter it! Wink of Stella to the recuse again! I used Water Color Pencils from Stampin’ Up which are no longer available. I am planning on purchase some Prismacolor Premier Intense Water Color Pencils soon. I think that Water Color Pencils are a great simple medium to use for coloring.

3. Stampin’ Up Writer Markers! I simply do not use my Writer Markers enough. These are great because they of course come in all of our current colors. They have both a fine tip and a brush tip so you can use them them for everything.
Once agan I had to add a little Wink Of Stella!

4. Accidental Pearl Accents! This really did happen by accident. When I went to grab my Sprizer with water in it I accidentally picked up my Smooch Pearl Accent and thought ….. Hmm I wonder if that would work.

You never know until try you right! This was simple to do and turned out beautiful. I had wanted to use the Metal Rimmed Pearls that are new so it all ended up coordinating perfectly. I used Mint Macaron & Watermelon Wonder for the flowers!
