Project Life Title Page & Album Set Up For 2020

One of the my most favorite things to do each January as the new year starts is to dive into my brand new Family Project Life album.

I wanted to share with you how I set up my title page, and also how I go about setting up foundation pages each month so that I can keep up with this project all year long.

I’ve doing a Project Life album since 2005 and I simple love having these books to look back on.

For my title page this year I’m using the Echo Park Designer Paper Called Faith, and the Project Life 52 Fresh Kit.

There are years that I keep things a little bit more simple with a title page, however this year I was just in the mood to be creative so that is what I went with.

On the back side I have a photo of each of the kids from their school photos from last Fall. It doesn’t bother me at all that these photos were taken last Fall when they started school.

Then I have a 6×12 page protector that holds some journaling, and on the back of that journaling are some song lyrics to one of my all time favorite songs.

Then I have a family photo that I had printed through the Project Life App at 10×10. It is a simple photos that I snapped on Christmas. I then edited it so that it was black and white.

I don’t think it is a perfect photos of us all us, but it is a photo that we are all in and that is all that matters.

{January 2020 Pages}

I like set up my pages each month ahead of time, these are my foundation pages for the month. Once I have those set up I can just drop my photos, and of course do a little journaling.

For this January I used the Echo Park I Love Winter paper.

I love using a 8 1/2 x 11 Calendar at the front of each month in my album. You can find these calendars for free by searching Pinterest, or even my purchasing one on Etsy.

They fit into a standard size page protector. I the heavy duty, Avery brand on amazon.

On this Calendar I can jot down things that are happen that might not even up in a photo, shorter stories, the kids being out of school, appointments, and what not. Just a nice overview of our day to day life. Then on the back of the calendar I add some designer paper and this acts as a pocket for anything that I might find that I want to keep over the month.

Cards, receipts, fun things. I never keep a lot, but just the few that I don’t really have a place for.

I’m loving the cards that I have picked out to use from the Project 52 Fresh Addition. I was lucky enough to find two of these kits at Tuesday Morning each for $6.99.

I will be using some of these cards through my entire album this year.

For the past several years I have been getting these Circle Calendar Cards, I then use my stitched circle dies to cut them out and they work as a title card for me.

I also took the Week Number card from the Project 52 Fresh Addition and cut them out using a stitched hexagon.

Both of these items will be used each week, most of the time in the same spot to mark the dates and week number. This is not something you have to do, it is just what works for me.

January is a little bit of a longer months in terms of how my weeks ended up working out because I started my album this year with a 1/2 week.

Using a set of Designer Paper can be so much month during longer months because you have a little bit more variety.

I will be setting up February with my Simply Document group, however I will be share some photos here when I do my next project life update.
