Family Project Life Album Update

Let’s have an honest moment… as much as I LOVE my documenting, scrapbooking, and doing all the “things” there are just moments in life when where even I have to let it to go.

What I have noticed is during the last month few weeks of May, and into the August life just seems to too busy to keep up with our Albums.

I tend to tackle bigger projects during those months, the kids are out of school, and I struggle with some illness during to the summer season.

As I have realized that these things tend to happen, the first thing I do is just simply give myself a break. I know that with a little planning, and a big catch up session towards the start of school my memory keeping projects can be manageable.

Let me share with you where our albums are at, and how I’m getting things caught up.

{Family Project Life Album Update}

The first album January – June is pretty full. I did consider putting June into the second album, but for now I will just leave them set up the way they are.

I also am at the stage of just needing to get my photos back from them being printed.

This is how January started out. I always love starting out in a new album at the beginning of the year.

The first part of my album is very full. The first few months of the year I added lots of inserts.

Here you can see that I use a Calendar at the beginning of each month to document how our month is going on. This also provides me a pocket on the other side for cards, and misc items I want to keep but don’t fit into a pocket.

Here you can see that I started getting behind. This is not something I need to freak out about.

I make sure to have my album set up in advance, then I use post it notes to mark where photos go. I can always come back and do journaling or add embellishing when I have more time.

July is going to look a little bit different. It will start with the 4th of July pages that I put together in the Project Life App.

I’ve set up August using Memories and More cards from Stampin’ UP! September, and October I will use Designer paper from Stampin’ Up and December I have yet to even think about.

A few of the other things I tackled during this catch up time is organized all of my photos on my phone, and cleaning up photos on my computer.

I also transferred all my videos off my phone, and got them organized on my computer.

This was a huge weight off my shoulders as it has been bother me that my phone was had so many photos and videos on it.

I am a big believer in daily, weekly and monthly deleting photos off my phone. At any given time I like to only have 2 – 4 weeks of photos, and videos sitting on my phone.

I use a ride range of products, everything from Becky Higgins Project Life Product, to Stampin’ Up Items.

Below I have listed the Stampin’ Up products that I am currently using.

I can believe how amazing it feels to have tackled our Family Album over the last week. I’m so glad I have photos sent off to be printed and the last thing I will need to do is just drop them into the album.

As I mentioned in my video I do have a membership group where I spend a lot of time sharing all things memory keeping related.
