One Little Word 2018 – Onward

One Little Word 2018 - Onward

For the last 4 years I have been picking one word at the beginning of the year. This word helps me accomplish my personal, and professional goals.

The very first year I did this I didn’t know there was any kind of “workshop” to follow.

As I got ready to pick my word for the second year I found the One Little Word Workshop by Ali Edwards, and it has been such a joy to take part in.

Today I wanted to share with you my One Little Word for 2018, and the plan I have for the 6×8 album I’m putting together.

{What I’m Using This Year}

Since I started participating in Ali Edwards workshop I put together a kit that includes some product she is offering, and then some products I’m using for the whole year.

I like to have products on hand that somewhat coordinate.

This year I’m going with a Black, Grey & Yellow color scheme.

Ali Edwards’s products are Grey, Black and White color scheme this year. I think Ali tries to keep her the colors of the One Little Word products pretty neutral this way it is easy for you to add other products to the mix.

The very first thing I always look for is some kind of Core Kit, or Card Kit that I can use. This year I’m using the Midnight Core Kit from Becky Higgins.

These are the products that I purchased directly from Ali Edwards.

Some of these items are sold out. However, Ali Edwards does a great job of restocking inventory on a regular basis.

Here is a list of all the supplies I’m using from Ali Edwards along with links.

Crushed Curry, Basic Black, and Basic Grey are the colors I’m using this year.

I went through my designer paper and pulled all of the designer papers in these colors that I thought I would like to use.

I pulled some old Designer Paper from Stampin UP! and even some old Becky Higgins Clementine Core Kit paper.

At the last minute I was looking for Scrapbooking Paper that had a yellow, floral theme to it.

At first I found it on HERE on and to get 2 sets it was going to be over $40.00. I decided to look on Amazon and found it HERE for 1/2 the price.

I am hoping that this yellow will match the Crushed Curry Yellow I’m planning on using with all the other items I have.

There are a few items that I am using from Stampin’ UP! You can always pick up any items I’m using from Stampin’ UP! in my online store HERE, or by clicking on the photos below.

I always love the start of a new year when I can finally dive into my word. The most excited part of the process is setting up brand new album.

If you are interested in checking out this year long work shop you can sign up for One Little Word with Ali Edwards HERE

Leave me a comment, and let me know if you have a word this year, and what it is.

I would love to know if you are planning on taking Ali’s workshop.

Tina, thanks for your video and sharing your word! My word is Journey, which I’m repeating from last year, I think I still have plenty to explore. i really like the Another Great Year Kit, I don’t know how I missed it! I think I’ll order that and a binder; I was thinking of using the same one, but I’m not sure it will be think enough… I don’t have a color scheme like you do, so I’ll think about that too. I think I still have a SU! 6×8 album in my stash — my last one, I have to check. 🙂 But I love seeing your plan for the year!

    Hi Katina,
Just watched your videos and loved them. I am doing One Little Word this year for the first time. I am going to take her class. The funny thing is I chose the work Change and saw that you too had that word before. I am excited to get started. I just got my Simple Stories album. I got a black one because I too have been doing Project Life for 7 years this year and my color album for this year is black.. I love doing project Life. I’m glad I found your videos. Thanks for sharing.
    Hugs Jeanette

Great blog thank you for the detail and inspiration! Love the colour theme and all the items you bought. I missed the 2018 OLW kit – may I ask how much it was ?
