Favorite Moments - Hometown Fun & Ice Tea

Have you ever heard the song by Zac Brown “Homegrown?” If not you should check it out HERE!

My favorite part of the song goes little something like this:

Why would I ever leave
Cause I know
I got some good friends
That live down the street
Got a good lookin’ women
with arms around me
Here in a small town
Where it feels like home
I got everything I need
And nothing that don’t

This is my heart! This small town where we live! It honestly doesn’t get any better than this!

This last week I have spent so much time out, and about in our little town which is not normal for me. I am truly a homebody.

While I love the rainy days, staying home by the fire, and not having a reason to venture out. I so very much enjoy the sun coming out, the 2 main street parades we had this week, along with good times with friends.

{Favorite Moments – Hometown Fun & Ice Tea}

The first parade of the week was for the Elementary school. It was a fun Wagon Train Parade. This was also the first time I got to do something with Violet’s Class.

Because of Violet’s Autism I work really hard to make sure we are doing what is best for her, and it has been a good fit for me to not be in the classroom with her because her behavior changes when I’m around, and not always for the good.

I was so happy to be able to spend some time with her in her school environment.

The second parade we went to was on Saturday, and was extra special since Esau got to drive the tow truck in it. My husband works for a tow company that started up 17 years ago. I was just a little girl when Rory started up his shop on main street.

We are so thankful not only that my husband has a good, solid job but also that he works for such a good, kind, hardworking man.

I thought you would enjoy seeing a little video clip Parade on Saturday. The kids and I had the very best time. Even if I did lose Andrew for a little a bit. That is a story for another day.

I hope you get a sense of how amazing our small town is. I feel beyond blessed to call Plymouth, California our hometown. It is where I grew up, where I am raising my children, and where I hope to grow old with my husband!

Now let me share with you the very best part of the weather warming up. Ice Tea… Yep I love Ice Tea.

My favorite is the Ice Tea from Starbucks. Many moons ago I worked at Starbucks, and learned a few tricks I thought I would share with you.

{How I Order My Ice Tea}

Always, Always get a largest Ice Tea they have. Ask for NO WATER! This is the most important request. If you like your tea sweet like I do you will want to ask for Classic Syrup, and 2 extra pumps, with extra ice.

What I have started doing is asking for 2 extra large teas made this way with no ice. I bring them home, add it to an 18 oz Mason jar, with ice! It really is the BEST!

If you are an Ice Tea lover, and you get a chance to try it out this way let me know. Tag me on Social Media #KMLovingIceTea

If you don’t care much for Ice Tea let me know what your favorite summer drink is.
