Project Life – The Wedding Series

I’m so excited to share this project with you. I have shared a few snippets of this project in the past but I am really diving into this album and finishing it up over the next few months.

I wanted to share not only a few tips on how to tackle a project this big but also the process that I have found that works best for me.

{Diving Into To Project Life – The Wedding Series Part 1}

The first biggest thing we are focusing on is getting a few of the large photos printed to make sure they are going to come out the way we want them to.

We are using Persnickety Prints and we are using them because Becky Higgins talk about them so much, and they are also the company that does the printing for the Project Life App .

What is Batch Processing?

Batch Processing is the method in which you brake a project up in to smaller steps. One of the biggest thing that can hold you back from starting a project is feeling overwhelmed. So in order to get past that feeling brake the project up.

Here are some steps you can do.

  1. Print ALL photos you think you will use. Even if you don’t USE all the photos.
  2. Sort all of the photos into the categories you are using.
  3. Drop all the photos into 12×12 page protectors and store them in the album. You can always move the photos into different page protectors once you start the documenting.
  4. Gather all your supplies
  5. Do all your journaling AFTER you have everything layout out.

Here are a few of the photos from her album!

Thank you for sharing your process. Just wondering do you feel that photos tend to slid out a bit with the photo pocket pages? Is there a possible solution for this?
You have done beautiful work on this project.

Hi Patty! Thanks for stopping by my website!!! Yes the photos can tend to slide out. With my Family Project Life album this is never really an issue because I add so many different items to my album. However for my kids album because I keep it pretty simple sometimes then can tend to slip out. The only time this is an issue is the very top pockets because if the album gets tipped or dropped they could come out.
For this project I also am adding alot of items to the pocket so the photos are tending to stay put.
I will do a little research on this issue and do a video in the future for you!!! I don’t have anything off the top of my head that I would think would work simple because I haven’t had to deal with it. But I will see what I can figure out!

I’m excited that you are sharing your process. I have tried to start my daughters album, but……. I could use some suggestions :)) The wedding and reception were held in a back yard, the colors were teal, yellow and coral and it was basically casual. She is a 25-year-old, contemporary, fun loving, easy going girl. She likes traditional scrapbook layouts and I think she will like pocket pages also. She grew up with Creative Memories style of scrapbooking. Oh, we don’t live in the same state. Help, please and thank you for any ideas you might have.
